The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bestarsson chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Bestarsson cracks Wallace with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Wallace looks to land a combination but Bestarsson avoids it well.
Bestarsson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Bestarsson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Wallace. That did some damage!

Bestarsson cracks Wallace with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Wallace looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Bestarsson finish him?

The crowd cheers as Bestarsson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Wallace doesn't seem phased though.

Bestarsson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Wallace had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wallace really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Wallace tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bestarsson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Wallace wants to break free but Bestarsson has control.
Wallace throws a punch but it's blocked by Bestarsson.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

I was talking to Wallace's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Bestarsson lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Wallace or not.
Wallace is working for takedown but Bestarsson is calmly controlling the position for now.

Wallace is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Bestarsson flashes Wallace a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Wallace's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Wallace crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Bestarsson punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

Ryan Wallace was interviewed post fight and said 'I'm going to look back and assess my skills. Hopefully I can come back stronger and much improved. Sorry to all my fans, but you can't win them all.'.
