Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Edward Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saleem Al Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Durden comes to the cage accompanied by Monster. Al Khan has chosen Three Days Grace - Scared as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Al Khan misses with a series of wild punches.
Al Khan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Al Khan waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Durden. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Durden. Al Khan has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Durden is landing a low percentage of strikes. Some wild striking there from Al Khan.
Al Khan fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Durden checks it well. Durden uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Al Khan. Durden tries to keep at a distance but Al Khan has taken the fight into the clinch. Durden gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Al Khan regains guard.
Durden is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Al Khan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Al Khan has escaped and now he's on top! Durden is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Cylon Training Academy that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Al Khan wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Durden's closed guard. He's half up but Durden has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Durden pivots and extends the arm, Al Khan falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Durden! Well done that man!
