The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pompier takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Andersson throws a hook but Pompier avoids it easily.
A nice side step and Pompier releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Andersson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pompier moves away.
Pompier throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Andersson to counter with a crisp jab.
Andersson ducks under a wild hook from Pompier.
A quick step to the side and Andersson tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Andersson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
No joy there for Andersson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pompier let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Andersson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Andersson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pompier paws at him with a jab and circles away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Andersson lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Pompier up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Andersson from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Pompier's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Benny Andersson!
