Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Bowden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Young has chosen The Zoo as his entrance music. On his way into the ring it seems that Daniel Bowden has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Daniel Bowden seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bowden is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Young tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A solid leg kick lands there for Young.
Bowden lands a nice leg kick that just misses Young's sensitive parts. Bowden avoids the head kick by Young.
Young throws a hook to the side of Bowden's head but Bowden sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Bowden misses with a double jab.
Young buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Bowden fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Bowden fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Young, pushing him back against the ropes. Bowden wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Bowden can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Young controls the pace. Bowden is looking to stand up but Young isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Young wants to get up but he can't break Bowden's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Young throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Bowden had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Young is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bowden Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Young's back instead. Young is trying to get back to his feet but Bowden has full control of the position and if anything, Young has just worked his way into a worse spot. Bowden has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Young has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bowden doesn't have the hooks in and Young manages to turn into his guard.
Young is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Young decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Young looks to score with a jab to the body but Bowden is just out of range. Bowden tries to clinch but Young moves out of range. Bowden looks to land a combination but Young avoids it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bowden tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Young paws at him with a jab and circles away. Young scores with a shot to the body.
Bowden throws a right hand that Young ducks under and follows up with a left that Young also avoids with ease. Young misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Bowden lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Young using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Bowden has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Bowden drops down looking for an ankle pick but Young pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jake Young is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Young throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Young tries to clinch there but Bowden circles away.
Bowden has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Bowden. That's going to take a lot out of him. Young throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Bowden looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
