Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Kraken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Hound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Kraken! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, The Hound! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hound jabs at Kraken's body. Kraken bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hound's head. Kraken uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hound. Hound lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Hound checks a leg kick. Hound closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Kraken is not content to let Hound control the position. Hound thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Hound looking to control but instead Kraken has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kraken wants to get back to full guard. Hound wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kraken keeps working. Hound stalling away here and it's allowed Kraken to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hound wants to pass the guard but Kraken is keeping the position. Kraken working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hound doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hound manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kraken seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Hound looking to pass the guard. Kraken looking to control.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kraken is on top in guard.
Hound looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kraken is one step ahead there. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Hound trying to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Nice jab there from Hound. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hound has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Hound misses with a left hand and Kraken counters with a nice body kick. A decent looking cross lands there for Hound. Hound closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kraken's guard. Kraken pushes a forearm under Hound's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Hound is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
