Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Seto Takiama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Sheran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Seto Takiama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Sheran! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takiama tries for a takedown but Sheran sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Takiama looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Sheran throws a hook to the side of Takiama's head but Takiama sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Sheran throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Takiama doesn't manage to clinch there - Sheran circles away.
Sheran gets a takedown into half guard. Takiama's coaches at Cozad MMA Los Angeles have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Sheran trying to mount his opponent but Takiama defends it. Sheran not landing any meaningful shots this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sheran trying to pass the guard but Takiama defending well. Still in half guard, Sheran seems content to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sheran is trying to control the action in half guard but Takiama is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Sheran winds up and cracks Takiama with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Sheran is keen to just control but Takiama is a slippery customer. Sheran trying to control the pace. Sheran working the head and body with strikes. Sheran wants to work for an arm triangle but Takiama is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Takiama is trying to stand.
Sheran is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Takiama defends it well. Sheran is looking to advance position but Takiama won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sheran is working for a submission of some sort.
Sheran looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Sheran is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Takiama defends it well. Sheran trying to pass the guard but Takiama defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sheran throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Takiama on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Sheran looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Sheran uses his free foot to push down on Takiama's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Takiama.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Takiama is in all sorts of trouble here.
Sheran looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Sheran working for a guillotine from mount but Takiama is in no mood to give up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sheran controlling from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Sheran dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Sheran shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Takiama napping and manages to drive through into side control! Sheran has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Sheran throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Sheran looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Sheran working the ground and pound from side control. Sheran wants to control but Takiama is keeping him busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Takiama prevents Sheran from improving position. Sheran wants to lay and pray for a moment but Takiama keeps working. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sheran landing a few strikes. Sheran scores with a couple of short elbows. Sheran passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Takiama! Takiama is wriggling around trying to escape.
Sheran lands a couple of good shots and Takiama has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Sheran is persistently looking for the submission but Takiama is defending it well.
Sheran is working for a rear naked choke. Takiama is not defending it well and Sheran has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Takiama refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Takiama's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Michael Sheran!
