The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pearce misses with a kick to the body.
bedford lands a nice leg kick that just misses Pearce's sensitive parts.

bedford drives through and clinches with Pearce against the cage.
Pearce wants to get back to striking at distance but bedford won't allow it.
bedford prevents the takedown attempt.
bedford misses with some punches.
bedford throws a punch but it's blocked by Pearce.

bedford breaks from the clinch.
Pearce will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pearce shoots in for a double leg but bedford sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
bedford tries for a takedown but Pearce sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Pearce looks to score with a jab to the body but bedford is just out of range.
bedford fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Pearce on the side of the head.

bedford throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
bedford is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

bedford dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Pearce. That did some damage!
Pearce is breathing heavily.
