Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jermain Leaseau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hades Destroyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jermain Leaseau! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hades Destroyer! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leaseau fails with the takedown. Destroyer slaps away a takedown attempt from Leaseau, before circling back to the center of the mat. Destroyer tries a quick counter leg kick but Leaseau is wise to it. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Leaseau is defended easily by Destroyer. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Destroyer! But no joy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jermain Leaseau. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leaseau stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Leaseau wants it to stay on the feet. Destroyer tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Leaseau defends well and Destroyer ends up having to push Leaseau into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Destroyer gets tackled into the cage by Leaseau. Leaseau maintains the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leaseau lands a takedown into guard.
Destroyer is looking to stand back up but Leaseau counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Destroyer. Leaseau is controlling the pace.
Destroyer is trying to maintain the position but Leaseau is very close to passing his half guard. Leaseau takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Leaseau throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Leaseau trying to pass the guard but Destroyer defending well. Leaseau seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Leaseau seems to be working for a kimura but Destroyer defends the submission attempt. Leaseau with the ground and pound but Destroyer uses the opportunity to regain guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leaseau is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Leaseau is looking to stand up but Destroyer won't let him.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Leaseau shoots in but no luck this time. Leaseau moves in looking to clinch but Destroyer pushes him off. Leaseau tests Destroyer's chin there with a solid looking shot. A nice inside leg kick there by Leaseau. That's going to slow Destroyer down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Destroyer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Leaseau fails with the takedown. Destroyer throws a big counter head kick but Leaseau avoids it with no problem. Leaseau closes the distance and pushes Destroyer back into the cage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Destroyer jumps into guard, dragging Leaseau to the mat.
Leaseau is stalling in the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jermain Leaseau dominated that round. That's time! Leaseau's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Leaseau misses with a leg kick. Destroyer tries to counter with a clinch but Leaseau shakes him off and moves away. Leaseau is looking to clinch but Destroyer is avoiding it.
Destroyer tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Leaseau closes the distance and lands a one-two. Leaseau moves into the clinch. Destroyer is looking for a takedown. Destroyer is fighting off a takedown attempt but Leaseau is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Destroyer to the mat. Destroyer regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Destroyer is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round. Leaseau wants to get up but he can't break Destroyer's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Destroyer is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Leaseau slips nicely into half guard. Destroyer won't allow Leaseau to pass to mount. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Destroyer is controlling Leaseau's position as best he can from this difficult position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Leaseau closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Leaseau lands in his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Leaseau with a flurry of punches that miss. Leaseau has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Destroyer is proving hard to escape from. Leaseau slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Leaseau is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Destroyer can do to turn this around? Destroyer pulls Leaseau in to control the position. Destroyer trying to keep a closed guard but Leaseau is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leaseau seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Leaseau trying to control the position from guard on top but Destroyer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Jermain Leaseau is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Leaseau moves into the clinch successfully.
Destroyer drops down looking for an ankle pick but Leaseau pulls his leg out and moves away.
Leaseau closes the distance and lands a one-two.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Leaseau!
Leaseau shoots in for a takedown but Destroyer shows good takedown defense. Leaseau fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Leaseau shoots for a double leg takedown but Destroyer sprawls well. He's pushed Leaseau's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jermain Leaseau. That's going to take a lot out of him. Leaseau tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Some wild striking there from Leaseau.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Leaseau's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Leaseau tries a head kick but it misses.
Leaseau throws a head kick that misses. Leaseau throws a lazy body kick and Destroyer counters with a shoot takedown. Leaseau fights it but they end up in guard. Leaseau is looking to stand up but Destroyer isn't so interested in that idea. Leaseau keeping full guard, as Destroyer tries to pass.

Destroyer looking to pass the guard. Destroyer sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Leaseau's guard. Leaseau has his hands clasped together around Destroyer's back. He's all about the action. Leaseau gets full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Leaseau is pulling down on Destroyer's head. It's preventing any offense from Destroyer, at least for the moment. Destroyer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Leaseau is keeping the position for now. Leaseau trying to keep a closed guard but Destroyer is proving a slippery customer.
Jermain Leaseau overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Leaseau lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jermain Leaseau. Well Leaseau has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
