Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mateus Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mateus Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Emerson Jorge and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie clinches up against the cage.

Williams drags the fight down to the ground.
Williams looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gracie is one step ahead there.

Williams looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Williams looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Gracie has picked Williams up and slammed him! Williams can't keep hold of the triangle and Gracie manages to pass to side control!

Gracie decides to stand back up. Gracie steps back and let's Williams get back to his feet.
Gracie shoots in and drives through. Williams sprawls well.
Gracie tries to clinch there but Williams circles away.
Williams avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Gracie bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Gracie stands up.
Gracie shoots for a takedown but Williams saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Williams swivels and escapes.
Ricardo Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mateus Gracie.
Williams uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gracie.
Gracie misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Gracie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Gracie tries to stand but Williams is controlling his head.
Williams manages to work his way to half guard, despite Gracie's best efforts.
Gracie is looking to take a break and control but Williams is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Williams is looking for a sweep. Gracie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Gracie works his foot free and advances to mount.
Williams is looking to improve his position but Gracie isn't that keen on the idea.

Gracie tries to control but Williams wriggling away.
Williams is trying to reverse the position but instead Gracie has taken his back - oops!

Gracie has the hooks in. Williams is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

The fighters are battling for position here. Williams manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Gracie wants to get up but he can't break Williams's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Williams is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Mateus Gracie dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Gracie tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Williams as he jumps to the side.
Ricardo Williams is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Williams drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Williams thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Williams is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gracie has escaped the position, nice work there.
Gracie sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Williams is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Gracie!

Williams postures up.
Williams stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Gracie is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Gracie closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Mateus Gracie has got the better of the ground game so far.

Williams managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Gracie.
Williams is looking to regain half guard here but Gracie keeps moving and retains side control.
Gracie is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Williams's shoulder. That is not cool.
Williams tries to bench press Gracie off him but Gracie keeps the position.
Williams gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Gracie passes to full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Williams can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Williams really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mateus Gracie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Williams passes Gracie's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Gracie moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Williams bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gracie's guard.

Williams drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gracie manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Williams has Gracie in his guard.
Gracie postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Williams working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Gracie has passed into half guard!
Gracie is keen to just control but Williams is a slippery customer.
Gracie not landing any meaningful shots this time.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Williams feints and as Gracie raises his hands in defense, Williams changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Williams goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Gracie is on top in guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mateus Gracie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Gracie winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
