Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stanley Walters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beebop Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stanley Walters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Beebop Jackson !
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson moves into the clinch successfully.
Walters is working for takedown but Jackson is calmly controlling the position for now.

Walters's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Jackson closes the distance and clinches.
Walters tries to break the clinch but Jackson is controlling the position.
Walters is trying to break free.
Walters wants to break the clinch but can't.
Walters tries for a takedown but Jackson manages to get underhooks.

Jackson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Walters really is a fat lump.
No luck for Jackson with that takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jackson moves into the clinch.
Walters drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Jackson is pressed up against the cage. Walters has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jackson down to the mat. Jackson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Jackson throws a series of punches but Walters moves out of range.

Jackson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Jackson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jackson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Walters.
Jackson unleashes a big counter combination but Walters bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Walters has Jackson up against the cage in a clinch.
Jackson keeps control of Walters as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Nice uppercut there from Jackson .
Walters tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jackson defends well and Walters ends up having to push Jackson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Walters fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jackson sprawls well initially but Walters persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jackson wants to control but Walters is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Walters lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Jackson is not content to let Walters control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Walters is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jackson has managed to free his arm - good work.
Walters stops Jackson from getting back to his feet.

Jackson wants to get back to full guard.
It looks like Walters is going to stand back up.
Well, if Walters is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Jackson is trying to get back to full guard.
Jackson is staying active underneath Walters, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Jackson tries to roll over but Walters keeps him under control.
Walters tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Walters rushes Jackson and presses him up against the cage.
Walters has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jackson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Walters is trying to drag Jackson to the mat but Jackson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Jackson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Walters regains guard immediately.
Jackson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Walters effectively controlling the action here.

Jackson gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Walters keeps moving.

Walters is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Walters lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jackson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Nice takedown defense from Jackson . No joy for Walters on that attempt.

Walters is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Walters takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Walters shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jackson as he avoids it easily.
Jackson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jackson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Walters manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Walters defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jackson .
Walters misses with a low kick as Jackson jumps back.
Jackson shoots for a double leg takedown but Walters sprawls well. He's pushed Jackson 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Walters fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jackson avoids it really well and circles away.

Jackson tries to stall but Walters uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Walters is looking to control Jackson 's arms but Jackson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Walters has his back to the cage.
Jackson is struggling to control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jackson prevents a takedown attempt there.
A frustrated look appears on Walters's face as he tries to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Stanley Walters will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Walters is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jackson is aware though and is defending well.

Jackson connects with a couple of short punches.
Jackson wants to stand but Walters is controlling his posture from full guard.
Walters might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Walters wants to sweep here but Jackson controlling him for the moment.
Jackson tries to free his leg and advance position but Walters is retaining full guard.

Walters is trying to maintain the position but Jackson is very close to passing his half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Walters shoots in for a takedown but Jackson shows good takedown defense.

Walters throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jackson 's waist but Jackson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Walters off to one side.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Walters enables Jackson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Walters manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Jackson lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Jackson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Walters is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Jackson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jackson scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Jackson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Jackson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Jackson is looking to pass into half guard but Walters pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Walters is in guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Walters is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Walters trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom.

Beebop Jackson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A relieved looking Beebop Jackson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
