Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danial Kirkland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xavier Rocca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rocca has chosen ULTRAnumb by Blue Stahli as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirkland uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rocca.
Rocca shoots for a takedown but Kirkland saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Rocca circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kirkland has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kirkland there as he acknowledges the shot.

It looks like Danial Kirkland has been cut.
Kirkland misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Rocca enables Kirkland to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rocca manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Rocca has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Kirkland has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Kirkland is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Rocca manages to break the clinch.
Rocca looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Rocca shoots and misses

and Kirkland counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Kirkland postures up in Rocca's guard and throws a big left but Rocca blocks it.
Rocca wants to get back to his feet but Kirkland is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Rocca really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kirkland. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kirkland stands up and waves to Rocca to follow him.
Kirkland could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Rocca throws a combination that misses
and Kirkland counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Xavier Rocca seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rocca lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Kirkland to his knees! Rocca keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Xavier Rocca spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
