Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joy James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phillip Pip (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phillip Pip will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joy James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Phillip Pip! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James keeps the fight on the outside. Pip throws a nice looking combination but James bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Pip fails in his attempt to clinch. James swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. James throws a jab but it's blocked by Pip. A nice side step and Pip releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Pip walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Pip moves away from the strike by James. James lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Phillip Pip has been cut. James throws a right hand that misses
and James takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Joy James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. James closes the distance and clinches. Pip wants to break free but James has control.
James scores with an uppercut up the middle. A nice left hand lands by James.
This has been an exciting period of action! James breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
James closes the distance and pushes Pip back into the cage. Pip's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! A head punch on the inside from Pip fails to land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pip prevents a body shot from James. James prevents a body shot from Pip. James pushes Pip back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Pip tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. James drops Pip onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Pip is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Pip is rocked!
That has opened up Phillip Pip's cut even more. Good anti-grappling being displayed by James as Pip tries to tie him up. Pip is still on wobbly legs! Can James finish him? James definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. James blocks a body shot from Pip. Pip seems to have recovered his senses. James throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Pips head. A frustrated look appears on Pip's face as he tries to break the clinch. Both guys are working to get underhooks. James lands a left hand that snaps the head of Pip backwards. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! An uppercut to the body lands inside from James. Pip looks winded! James prevents a body shot from Pip. James drops Pip onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Pip is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet! James cracks Pip with a nice body shot. A nice left hand lands by James.
The cut above Phillip Pip's eye is starting to cause him problems now. James creates a little bit of space and unloads with a massive uppercut! Pip drops to the mat, out cold! Wow, that was brutal! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Joy James! During a confident post fight interview, Joy James thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
