Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pepe Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pepe Jackson looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chris Pain! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson dodges the punch combination from Pain.
Pain throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Jackson stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Pain follows into mount!

It looks like Pepe Jackson has been cut. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! This has been an exciting period of action! Pain working for a submission but Jackson is keeping him at bay. Jackson has given up his back here. Will Pain look for the submission or keep pounding away?

Pain tightening his grip on Jackson, looking for the choke. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Pain's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Pain is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Pain gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Pain gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Pain apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Jackson stands up and waves to Pain to follow him. Jackson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jackson lands in his opponent's guard. Jackson tries to free his leg and advance position but Pain is retaining full guard. Jackson wants to get up but he can't break Pain's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Pain controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jackson stands and throws Pain's legs to the side, diving into side control. Pain is trying to control Jackson's posture but Jackson avoids it. Jackson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Pain to his feet. Pain fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pain is looking for a sweep. Jackson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Pain manages to get to full guard.

Jackson stopping the sweep attempt from Pain. Pain had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jackson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Pain Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jackson's back instead. Jackson breaks Pain's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Pain is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Pain escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jackson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Chris Pain dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Pain tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jackson swivels and escapes. Pain tries to clinch up and Jackson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pain's guard. Jackson stands up from guard. Let's bang! Jackson closes the distance and clinches. Jackson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Jackson avoiding damage as Pain throws knees to the body.
Jackson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pain smiles and moves away.
Pain looks for a takedown but Jackson sprawls well. Pain shoots in and bounces Jackson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Pain stands up and waves to Jackson to follow him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jackson feints and as Pain raises his hands in defense, Jackson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Jackson looking to pass the guard. Pain has his foot on Jackson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jackson works his way back into a safe position though. Jackson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Pain, up you get! Jackson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pepe Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pain sprawls well initially but Jackson persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Pain actively working from the bottom here. Jackson passes to side control. Jackson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pain knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Pain tries to bench press Jackson off him but Jackson keeps the position. Jackson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Pain is trying to control Jackson's posture but Jackson avoids it.

Pain tries to lock up and control but Jackson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Jackson get's back to his feet. The fight moves into the clinch position. Jackson fails to pull guard.

Pain pulls guard effortlessly. Jackson gets to his feet - Pain follows without any prompting. Pain is looking to clinch. Jackson drives through with a takedown into guard. Pain throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pain lands with a heel strike from the guard.

Chris Pain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pain wants to clinch up but Jackson keeps it at a distance. Pain throws a low kick but it's checked well by Jackson. Pain gets in close and instigates a clinch. Jackson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Pain gets a trip takedown into half guard. Jackson looking for submissions off his back. Pain lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Jackson trying to control here.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pain wants to take a breather but Jackson is having none of it.

Nice strikes from Pain there. The fighters are battling for position here. Jackson manages to regain full guard. Nice work. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pain accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Pain clinches with his opponent.
Jackson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jackson closes the distance but Pain moves to the side and Pain counters with a shoot takedown. Jackson fights it but they end up in guard. Pain thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Jackson keeping moving, preventing Pain from controlling successfully. Jackson wants to stand up but Pain is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pain looking to pass the guard. Jackson uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Jackson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pain's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pain wants to stand up but Jackson is controlling him. Jackson stands and throws Pain's legs to the side, diving into side control. Jackson working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Pain wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Jackson trying to control the position but Pain is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Pain's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Jackson stands up and beckons Pain to his feet. No luck for Pain with that takedown attempt. Jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Pain trying to control here.
Pain kicks off Jackson and gets to his feet. Pain darts in and clinches Jackson up against the cage. Jackson lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Pain tries to roll over but Jackson keeps him under control. Jackson is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Jackson gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Jackson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pain pinned against the cage. Pain gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Pain is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Pain closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pain tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pain has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jackson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Pain's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Chris Pain. I think Pain has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
