Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dean Matlock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Boucher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matlock comes to the cage accompanied by Retaliation. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dean Matlock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Roberto Boucher! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matlock tries to clinch but Boucher is having none of it. It seemed like Boucher was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Boucher has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Matlock is landing a low percentage of strikes. Matlock tries to clinch but Boucher moves away and Boucher counters with a straight right hand. Matlock moves to clinch but Boucher breaks away and Boucher counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Matlock throws an off balance right hand
and Boucher connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Matlock throws a poor cross that misses
and Boucher counters with a straight right hand.
Matlock is rocked! Boucher uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Matlock. Boucher throws a counter combo. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Matlock misses with the combination.
Boucher looks like he wants to counter punch here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matlock darts in trying to clinch and Boucher counters with a crisp right that sends Matlock to the canvas! Boucher follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Roberto Boucher decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. Dean Matlock spoke after the fight, saying 'I underestimated him tonight. I am disappointed but full credit to my opponent for bringing his A-game. Much respect.'.
