Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Boreste Bardanos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joaquim Antunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bardanos comes to the cage accompanied by My Kingdom Will Come. Joaquim Antunes will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Boreste Bardanos! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Joaquim Antunes! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Antunes dives in for a single leg takedown but Bardanos sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Antunes tries to land a leg kick but Bardanos saw it coming and moves away.
Bardanos throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Antunes is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Nice straight punches there by Bardanos. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Bardanos. Antunes misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Bardanos misses with a body shot.
Bardanos looks to score with a jab to the body but Antunes is just out of range. Antunes feints the counter takedown. Antunes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Boreste Bardanos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joaquim Antunes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bardanos pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Bardanos misses with a body shot.
Bardanos thuds his right hand into Antunes's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Bardanos misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Antunes.
Bardanos is looking to wear down Antunes with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Bardanos just misses with a punch to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bardanos misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Antunes fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Bardanos checks it well. Antunes on the wrong end of a nice hook. Antunes throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Antunes is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bardanos's half guard. Bardanos keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Antunes slips a nice elbow through Bardanos's hands, connecting with Bardanos's forehead. Bardanos might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Antunes is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bardanos sees it coming and defends easily. Nice strikes from Antunes there. Bardanos is looking for a sweep. Antunes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Antunes wants to control but Bardanos is keeping him busy. Bardanos regains full guard. Nicely done. Antunes postures up in Bardanos's guard and throws a big left but Bardanos blocks it. Antunes trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. A big left from Bardanos misses. Antunes shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bardanos defends it nicely. Bardanos throws a right and a left that Antunes avoids nicely. A left lands for Bardanos. Bardanos throws a series of strikes that have Antunes backpedaling.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bardanos throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Antunes uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bardanos. Bardanos misses with a left hand and Antunes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bardanos's guard. Antunes scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Antunes tries to free his leg and advance position but Bardanos is retaining full guard. Antunes stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Bardanos has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Antunes manages to get his head free but now Bardanos has transitioned to an armbar! Antunes grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Bardanos! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
