Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Risley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Savage has chosen 8 Foot Sativa - The Shadow Masters as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Risley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jack Savage! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Savage throws a head kick that misses. Risley went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Savage throws a head kick that misses. Risley throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Savage makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Savage throws a combination. Risley tries to block but a couple of punches get through. A combination from Savage does no damage. Savage fails to land the takedown. Risley dodges the punch combination from Savage.
Risley was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Savage has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Risley misses with a right hand and Savage counters with a straight punch to the midsection. We've been told by Risley's head coaches at Team Alpha Success that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Savage connects with a solid leg kick. Joe Risley is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Risley fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Savage has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Risley avoids the body shot from Savage.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Savage lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Risley has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Risley and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Risley is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Savage thuds his shin into the meat of Risley's side. Savage throws a right and a left that Risley avoids nicely. Risley swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Savage. A slow jab from Risley misses its intended target. Savage digs a good body shot into Risley's ribs. A low kick from Savage misses and Risley counters with a three punch combo that has Savage backing up. Savage nods at Risley to acknowledge the strikes. Savage throws a sloppy head kick and Risley moves out of range easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Savage fails with the takedown enabling Risley to counter with a crisp jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Savage staying out of range there. Savage is trying to counter with his kicks. Savage misses with a body punch
and Risley counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. A left lands for Savage. A head kick misses from Savage. It looked like Risley was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Savage misses with a two punch combination.
A little feinted left hand from Risley on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Risley scores with a decent looking hook. Savage clinches up with Risley and pushes him back against the cage. Savage throws an elbow that misses.
Savage using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Risley has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Risley controlling the action here for a moment.

Risley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Savage swings for the body but Risley moves out of range.
Savage shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Risley to counter with a crisp jab. Joe Risley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Savage. Savage lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Savage fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Savage misses with a kick to the body and Risley counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Savage feints and then cracks Risley's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Risley down. Savage is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Risley rather than just go for the knockout. Savage misses with a head kick.
Savage gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Risley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Risley takes a body punch but keeps moving. Savage misses with a straight right. Risley fires out a quick counter leg kick but Savage just manages to avoid it. Savage moves to clinch but Risley breaks away and Risley counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Savage wants to clinch but Risley slips to the side and Risley cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Savage is rocked! Risley connects with a stiff jab that staggers Savage - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
