Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mathias Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin comes to the cage accompanied by Freude schöner Götter Funken. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mathias Hughes! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hughes stuffs the takedown attempt from Martin. Martin gets slowly back to his feet. Hughes misses with a double jab.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Hughes tries to keep at a distance but Martin has taken the fight into the clinch. Martin changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hughes fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Hughes keeping moving, preventing Martin from controlling successfully. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hughes manages to escape and get back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Peter Martin. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Martin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
