Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Pichushkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Artest (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alexander Pichushkin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ron Artest! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Artest pushes Pichushkin up against the cage in a clinch. Artest lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Artest misses with a hook to the ribs.
Pichushkin blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Pichushkin is trying to force a seperation but Artest has the dominant position. Artest pushes Pichushkin back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Pichushkin blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Pichushkin lands a left hand that snaps the head of Artest backwards. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Artest as Pichushkin tries to tie him up. Artest blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Pichushkin blocks an elbow strike from Artest.
Pichushkin is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Pichushkin tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Artest avoids it. Artest creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Pichushkin's defenses.
It looks like Alexander Pichushkin has been cut. Pichushkin misses with an elbow strike.
Pichushkin working hard to break the clinch. Pichushkin is trying to break free. A short body shot lands from Pichushkin as the two fighters clinch.
Artest fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Artest lands an elbow inside. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pichushkin wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Pichushkin is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Artest is defending well for now. Pichushkin wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Pichushkin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Good standup being displayed there by Pichushkin as he connects with a hook. The fight moves into the clinch position. Artest keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Pichushkin's efforts to push away. Artest is leaning against Pichushkin and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Artest managing to block the knees to the body from Pichushkin.
Artest lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Pichushkin has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Pichushkin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Artest instigates a clinch. Artest lands an elbow inside that Pichushkin shrugs off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pichushkin wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Nice body punch from Artest - that landed with a thud.
Pichushkin is breathing heavily. Artest trying to land knees to the body.
Artest misses with the head strike.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Artest lands an elbow that stopped Pichushkin in his tracks for a moment.
Alexander Pichushkin's cut is getting worse. Artest scores with an uppercut up the middle. A quick uppercut on the inside from Artest. Artest keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Pichushkin's efforts to push away. Pichushkin has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Pichushkin has had enough of the clinch but Artest keeps him there for the moment. Pichushkin looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Pichushkin working hard to break the clinch. With the fighters up against the cage, Artest throws an elbow but misses. Artest lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Pichushkin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Pichushkin lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Artest takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Alexander Pichushkin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
