Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sascha Kroener (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Calen Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Sascha Kroener has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Sascha Kroener seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sascha Kroener! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Calen Gray! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kroener looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kroener shoots in for a takedown but Gray shows good takedown defense. Kroener looks for a takedown but Gray sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sascha Kroener. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kroener fails with a takedown attempt. Excellent takedown into side control there by Gray. Kroener struggling a bit here. Gray throwing shots but missing, from side control. You can see the frustration on Kroener's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Kroener regains half guard. Gray not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gray wants to pass to mount but Kroener is defending the position. Kroener manages to get to full guard.
Gray is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gray postures up.
Gray would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Kroener has control of Gray's left arm, preventing Gray from doing any damage. Kroener trying to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Gray is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Kroener wants to sweep here but Gray controlling him for the moment. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kroener holds on and takes a little breather. Kroener is breathing heavily. Gray wants to stand and escape but instead Kroener has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gray wants to get back to his feet but Kroener is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Kroener passes easily into side control. Nice work. Gray can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kroener happy to just control the position for now. Gray wants to control but Kroener postures up. Gray tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kroener decides to stand back up. Kroener steps back and let's Gray get back to his feet. Kroener feints and as Gray raises his hands in defense, Kroener changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Kroener slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Gray pulls Kroener in to control the position. Gray working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kroener doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kroener manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kroener controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kroener tries to free his leg and advance position but Gray is retaining full guard. Kroener showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Kroener trying to control the position from guard on top but Gray is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kroener being controlled here momentarily. Kroener is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gray fails in his attempt to clinch. Kroener fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Nice takedown defense from Kroener. No joy for Gray on that attempt. Kroener bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Kroener controlling the position. Gray is not content to let Kroener control the position.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Sascha Kroener just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Gray!
Kroener shoots and misses and Gray counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kroener won't be happy with that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kroener wants to control but Gray postures up. Kroener tries to buck Gray off but Gray is having none of it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. You can see the frustration on Kroener's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Kroener is not content to let Gray control the position. Kroener is looking to regain half guard here but Gray keeps moving and retains side control. Kroener manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Still in half guard, Gray seems content to control. Kroener gets full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Gray is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Kroener keeping moving, preventing Gray from controlling successfully. Gray missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Gray seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Gray landing with the ground and pound. Gray wants to stand but Kroener has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Kroener can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gray controls the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kroener controls Gray momentarily but Gray frees himself. Gray keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kroener's head. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kroener shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Kroener looking to control but Gray is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Kroener controlling from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kroener seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Gray is holding on tight.

Kroener lands with some strikes. Kroener quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Kroener but it's paid off an Gray is forced to tap! Nice work by Kroener.
