Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Hickock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hickock has chosen Why can't we be friends as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roberto Kim! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
34 - 20 - 3, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Hickock! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kim ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kim checks a leg kick. Hickock throws out a leg kick but Kim moves out of range and Hickock only half commits. Kim is looking to score with low kicks. Hickock lands a nice shot that snaps Kim's head back.
A low kick from Hickock is predictable there and Kim counters with a single leg into guard. Hickock didn't expect that. Kim throws a big right hand that misses. Hickock told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Kim trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Kim postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hickock keeping moving, preventing Kim from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kim throwing strikes from guard but Hickock blocks nicely. Kim landing with the ground and pound. Kim scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kim throwing strikes but missing. Kim wants to control from the top but Hickock keeps moving. Kim being controlled here momentarily. Hickock avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hickock wants to stand up but Kim is controlling him. Hickock wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Hickock keeping full guard, as Kim tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kim trying to control the position from guard on top but Hickock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kim throws a big elbow that misses. Kim wants to pass the guard but Hickock is keeping the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Hickock looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Hickock on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kim. Kim obviously looking to wear him down.
Kim closes the distance and clinches up with Hickock, looking for a takedown. Kim pushes Hickock against the cage but Hickock circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Richard Hickock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hickock ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Hickock takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Hickock listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Hickock misses with a left hand and Kim counters with a nice double leg into guard. Hickock is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Kim presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kim pulls Hickock into guard.

Kim is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hickock is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Kim has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Hickock is looking to defend but Kim has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Hickock! Kim pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Hickock taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Roberto Kim! Our winner, Roberto Kim, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
