Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Curt Wooten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Dever (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wooten comes to the cage accompanied by Hall Of Fame. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wooten with a lazy takedown attempt
and Dever counters with a series of strikes. Wooten will be more careful next time no doubt.
Dever lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Dever tries a head kick but it misses.
Wooten seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Wooten tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dever paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Dever moves into range and clinches up with Wooten.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wooten changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dever tries to avoid it but Wooten manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dever to the ground. Dever escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Wooten shoots in for a takedown but Dever shows good takedown defense.

Wooten walks forward, straight into a front kick from Dever.
Dever has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Wooten takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Dever is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Dever tries to stand but Wooten is controlling from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Dever throws a powerful right kick. Wooten tried to block low but the kick was high! Wooten was taken right off of his feet! Dever jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
