Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Duncan McAlister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buster Hymen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McAlister comes to the cage accompanied by Althia and Donna - Uptown Top Ranking. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 38 - 29 - 3, fighting out of Sydney, Duncan McAlister!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Buster Hymen!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Ben Hemmingworth and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McAlister slips a jab and a cross from Hymen.
Hymen blocks a jab.
A big right from Hymen misses.
McAlister misses with a right hand
and Hymen counters with a body kick.
A jab from Hymen misses.
Hymen misses with a combination
and McAlister counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
McAlister throws the left hand but Hymen avoids the punch easily.
A little jabbing left from Hymen on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

McAlister throws a lazy right hand but Hymen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Buster Hymen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hymen drops McAlister with a beautiful combination! McAlister stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hymen is looking for the KO!


It looks like Duncan McAlister has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hymen moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
McAlister is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Hymen throws a jab but it's blocked by McAlister.
McAlister bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

McAlister misses the jab.
Hymen lets loose with a powerful body kick. McAlister will feel that in the morning.
McAlister is breathing heavily.
McAlister avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hymen tries to land a front kick but McAlister steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Hymen throws a half hearted mid kick.
Hymen misses with a hook
and McAlister counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Hymen connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between McAlister's hands.

Hymen has taken the fight to the clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Hymen is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Hymen wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
McAlister misses with some punches.
Hymen's coach down at Sydney Shootfighting was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hymen's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Hymen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
McAlister has been working on his boxing with his coaches at LOD-Guts & Glory Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Hymen misses with a double jab
and McAlister connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McAlister rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Hymen to counter with a crisp jab.
Hymen swings for the body but McAlister moves out of range.
Hymen swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and McAlister counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hymen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
McAlister tests Hymen's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hymen misses with the body kick
letting McAlister counter with a right hand.
McAlister tries to score with a low kick but Hymen moves his leg out of the way.
Hymen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McAlister manages to avoid it.
McAlister seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Hymen throws a sloppy head kick and McAlister moves out of range easily.
Hymen throws a hook to the side of McAlister's head but McAlister sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A big left from McAlister misses.
McAlister looks to land a left hand but Hymen moved out of range nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McAlister blocks a head kick by Hymen.
Good shot there by McAlister.
McAlister lands a body shot.
McAlister keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Hymen gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
McAlister dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Hymen has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Hymen manages to break the clinch.
Hymen misses with a hook
and McAlister counters with a straight right hand.
Hymen waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract McAlister.
McAlister throws a hook to the side of Hymen's head but Hymen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McAlister is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Hymen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McAlister misses with a straight right.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
McAlister lands a nice looking kick to the body. Hymen takes a step back to recover.
McAlister ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hymen takes a jab right on the kisser.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hymen. McAlister does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hymen connects with a right hand. McAlister shakes it off.
Hymen moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Hymen tries to land a front kick but McAlister steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
McAlister uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hymen has time to react.
Hymen cracks McAlister with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
McAlister slips a jab and a cross from Hymen.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hymen throws a poor cross that misses
and McAlister counters with a nice uppercut.
McAlister throws a wild hook but Hymen just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! McAlister gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Hymen raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Buster Hymen!
Buster Hymen is the new heavyweight champion!
