Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Taj Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zack Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Taj Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Sergei Dronov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side.
Jones tries to clinch up but Lewis circles away and keeps his distance.
Lewis fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jones looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lewis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jones's guard.
Jones utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Lewis trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom.
Jones controls Lewis momentarily but Lewis frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lewis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lewis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Lewis wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position.
Jones seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lewis is one step ahead there.
Jones is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lewis keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Taj Lewis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zack Jones.
Lewis fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lewis will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Jones tries to clinch there but Lewis circles away.
Jones throws a push kick but Lewis slaps the foot to one side.

and Jones counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Lewis!

Jones content just to control the position here.

Lewis is looking to improve his position but Jones isn't that keen on the idea.
Jones controlling the pace for now.
Lewis tries to reverse the position but Jones maintains control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Lewis tries to lock up and control but Jones gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Lewis keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Lewis is wriggling around trying to escape.

Lewis wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.
Lewis moves into full guard.
Lewis looking for a sweep. Not yet Lewis, not yet.
Lewis keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
Jones should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Jones stands and throws Lewis's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Jones is looking to take a break and control but Lewis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Lewis sneaks back into half guard.
Jones decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Lewis will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jones tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lewis swivels and escapes.
A jab-cross combination lands for Jones and sends Lewis crashing to the mat! Jones follows him down to the mat - Lewis regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Lewis is rocked!
It looks like Taj Lewis has been cut.
Jones controlling the action here.
Oh Lewis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lewis misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Lewis wants to get back to full guard.
Lewis seems to have got his legs back now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jones seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lewis keeps working.
Despite being in the dominant position, Zack Jones just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Lewis, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Lewis against the cage but Lewis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zack Jones dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Taj Lewis's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Horrible takedown by Lewis or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones which made him look bad.
Jones drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lewis keeps working.
Jones in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Lewis wants to control but Jones postures up.
Jones wants to control but Lewis is keeping him busy.
Lewis is looking to reverse the position.
Lewis gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Lewis makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Lewis.
Jones gets to his feet. Lewis looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Lewis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes.
A solid leg kick lands there for Jones.
Jones is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lewis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lewis off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Taj Lewis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lewis lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

and Jones counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Lewis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nice takedown defense from Jones. No joy for Lewis on that attempt.
Taj Lewis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lewis is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jones.
Nice sprawl there from Jones as Lewis shoots in.
Lewis tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jones is controlling Lewis's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Jones has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lewis is working away from the top position though.
Jones might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lewis kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Jones won't allow Lewis to pass to mount.

Jones is not content to let Lewis control the position.
Lewis passes the guard and advances to mount!
Lewis trying to control but Jones is having none of it.
Jones looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Jones won't enjoy being in this position. Lewis looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Jones is tapping - it's over boys! Lewis picks up the submission victory!
