Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lynch comes into the arena with Suffa by Hed Pe blaring out of the sound system. Reed is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Hash pipe. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Lucas Lynch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, David Reed! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reed lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Lynch shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Reed looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Reed trying to hold on to Lynch's head to control him but Lynch postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lynch wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reed keeps working. Reed works his way to full guard. Good work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lynch got a little sloppy there for a moment and Reed has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lynch has managed to get both his arms back between Reed's legs - danger averted. Lynch is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Reed working a defensive guard here.
Lynch knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Reed on the ground. Reed keeping moving, preventing Lynch from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Reed is on top in guard.
Reed wants to pass the guard but Lynch is keeping the position. Lynch is looking to stand up but Reed isn't so interested in that idea. Lynch keeping moving, preventing Reed from controlling successfully. Reed pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lynch is keeping the position for now. Lynch wants to get back to his feet but Reed is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Reed has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Lynch is landing a low percentage of strikes. Reed looks to land a left hand but Lynch moved out of range nicely. David Reed is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Reed gets in close and instigates a clinch. Reed throws a punch but it's blocked by Lynch. Reed is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Lynch is defending well for now. A short right hand to the side of the head by Reed. A short right from Reed on the inside. Lynch tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Reed smiles and moves away.
Reed throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Lucas Lynch has been cut. Lynch shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lynch showed some decent athleticism there. Reed controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Lynch wants to control but Reed is keeping him busy. Lynch is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lynch is trying to control. Reed wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Reed is trying to get back to full guard. Reed gets full guard. Lynch preventing the sweep. Reed looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Reed thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Lynch if he has to take too many more of those.
Lynch fails with a takedown attempt from distance. A right-left combo lands from Lynch.
It looks like David Reed has been cut. Lynch takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Reed scores with a nice hook to the head. Reed with an attempt at a knee that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lynch wants to get back to striking at distance but Reed won't allow it.

Reed is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lynch jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Reed walks away with a smile on his face. Lynch gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucas Lynch. That's going to take a lot out of him. Reed misses with a head kick.
Lynch dodges the punch combination from Reed.
Reed tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lynch paws at him with a jab and circles away. Reed misses with an attempted mid kick.
Lynch is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Decent striking displayed by Lynch there. Reed delivers a nice body kick. Reed dodges the punch combination from Lynch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Reed dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lynch misses with a two punch combination.
Lynch throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Reed pushes Lynch away with a front kick. A good leg kick by Reed. Reed misses with a body shot.
Lynch definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Reed jabs at Lynch's body. Lynch moves out of range of the strikes. Lynch throws a big counter combination but Reed scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. David Reed seems to be getting the better of the standup. Lynch scores with a jab. Reed acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Reed wants to clinch up but Lynch keeps it at a distance. An inside leg kick lands from Reed. Lynch on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Sloppy strikes from Lynch. Those never looked like landing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lynch shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Reed but Reed pushes him off and we're back to square one. Reed scores with a head kick. Lynch tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Lucas Lynch is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Reed stuffs the takedown attempt from Lynch. Lynch gets slowly back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lynch finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Reed's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Lynch falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
