Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Donald Pierce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matek Krzatek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matek Krzatek has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Donald Pierce's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donald Pierce! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matek Krzatek! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Pierce with that takedown attempt. Krzatek feints the counter takedown. Pierce goes for a double leg but Krzatek avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Krzatek continues to drive forward. Pierce shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donald Pierce. That's going to take a lot out of him. Krzatek looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Krzatek bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Krzatek tries to move into full mount but can't pass Pierce's legs. You can see the frustration on Pierce's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Krzatek tries to stand but Pierce is controlling his head.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Krzatek has knee on belly and moves into mount. Pierce wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Krzatek.
Krzatek avoids the attempt from Pierce to control. Krzatek controlling the position easily from mount. Krzatek wants to take Pierce's back here but Pierce is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Krzatek takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Pierce really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Pierce controls the position. Krzatek misses with a head shot. Krzatek tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Krzatek wants to finish this one by submission but Pierce is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Krzatek. Krzatek tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Krzatek thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Krzatek working for a submission but Pierce is keeping him at bay. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Krzatek has hold of Pierce's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Pierce manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Krzatek sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pierce shoots in looking for a takedown. Krzatek tries to sprawl out of it but Pierce keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Krzatek manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Pierce shoots in for a double leg but Krzatek sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Despite the aggression on Krzatek's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Krzatek closes the distance and clinches up with Pierce, looking for a takedown. Krzatek pushes Pierce against the cage but Pierce circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. It looked like Pierce wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Pierce shoots in looking for a takedown but Krzatek manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pierce's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Krzatek now looks to counter with a shot at the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donald Pierce. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pierce looks for a takedown but Krzatek sprawls well. Pierce displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Krzatek.
That's one minute gone in the round. Krzatek throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pierce was covering up waiting for the punch and Krzatek finishes the takedown easily into guard. Krzatek slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Krzatek trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Krzatek sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Pierce's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Well, if Krzatek is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Krzatek tries to pass to full mount but Pierce defends it.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Krzatek dives in and scores a takedown into Pierce's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Krzatek looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Krzatek thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Krzatek controlling from the top position. Krzatek has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Krzatek postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Krzatek stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pierce swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matek Krzatek showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Krzatek feints and as Pierce raises his hands in defense, Krzatek changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Pierce will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Krzatek being controlled here momentarily. Krzatek slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Krzatek tries to free his leg and advance position but Pierce is retaining full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pierce looking to control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Krzatek thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pierce's head. Krzatek controlling the action here. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Pierce gets a takedown into half guard. Krzatek actively working from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Krzatek works his way to full guard. Good work. Krzatek has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Krzatek is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Pierce frees his head nicely. Oh but Krzatek has switched to an armbar! Pierce is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
