Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ciechan leaves Paul with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Ciechan has closed the distance and engaged Paul in a clinch.
Paul wants a takedown.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ciechan throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Paul blocks it with crossed arms.

Paul tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ciechan's elbow.

Paul is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Devon Paul. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Paul has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Ciechan after a bit of a struggle.
Ciechan lands a good knee to the midsection. Paul won't want to take too many of those.

Ciechan drops Paul with a big knee straight up the middle! Paul is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

It looks like Devon Paul has been cut.
Paul is breathing heavily.

Oh Paul is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ciechan jerks Paul's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Paul drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Ciechan goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Ciechan because Paul was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
