Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Serj Wunderkind! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Miguel Pintado! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wunderkind throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Pintado takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. A jab lands there for Wunderkind. Pintado lands a slapping body shot.
Wunderkind rushes Pintado and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Wunderkind looking to slow down the pace here. Pintado wants to stall.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wunderkind unloads a knee to the mid-section. Pintado lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Wunderkind blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Wunderkind scores with an uppercut up the middle. A nice right hand lands inside from Wunderkind. Pintado scores a nice knee to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wunderkind is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes. Wunderkind tries to throw a body punch but Pintado avoids it by throwing Wunderkind back against the ropes. Wunderkind is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. The fighters are pressed against the ropes, as the pace of the fight slows. Pintado content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Pintado stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Pintado is trying to maintain a safe position but Wunderkind gets an underhook and turns Pintado into the ropes. Wunderkind tries to work over Pintado's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Pintado misses with a knee strike.
A battle for position here, against the ropes. Pintado tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Wunderkind's elbow. Wunderkind lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. A nice left hand lands by Pintado.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wunderkind using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Pintado has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Pintado lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Wunderkind is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Pintado. A short right from Wunderkind on the inside. Come on Pintado - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Wunderkind is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes. Wunderkind stalling in the clinch but Pintado improves position. Wunderkind landing knees to the head.

Serj Wunderkind dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Pintado tries to move into range but Wunderkind moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Wunderkind closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
It looks like Serj Wunderkind has been cut. Pintado throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Pintado misses with a hook. Wunderkind takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Wunderkind on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Pintado throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Serj Wunderkind seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wunderkind scores with a head kick. Pintado tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Pintado misses with a body shot.
Wunderkind listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Wunderkind lands a nice leg kick that just misses Pintado's sensitive parts. This has been an exciting period of action! Wunderkind tries to clinch up and Pintado counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Wunderkind is rocked! Pintado tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wunderkind was well out of range. Poor timing from Pintado. Wunderkind looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wunderkind fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pintado manages to avoid it. Wunderkind connects with a leg kick. Pintado looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Serj Wunderkind is winning the standup battle so far. Wunderkind loads up on a big right hand but Pintado slips the punch. Pintado misses with a head kick.
Pintado keeps the fight on the outside. Pintado takes the fight into the clinch. Wunderkind misses with a punch to the body.
Pintado blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Wunderkind manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Pintado scores with a shoulder strike. Wunderkind with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Wunderkind putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Pintado in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Pintado tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Wunderkind avoids it. Pintado throws a knee to the head but misses.

Both guys are working to get underhooks. Wunderkind tries to work over Pintado's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Pintado has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Wunderkind seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Pintado can turn it around. Pintado goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Pintado lands with a short head shot on the inside. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nice body punch from Wunderkind. Pintado working aggressively here.

A close second round but Miguel Pintado will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Serj Wunderkind's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Pintado checks a low kick from Wunderkind. Pintado walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Pintado takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Pintado throws out a loose jab but Wunderkind uses good head movement to avoid it. Wunderkind throws a hook but Pintado blocks it. Pintado flicks out a counter leg kick but Wunderkind steps away. Pintado moves into the clinch. Pintado with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Pintado has his opponent in a tight Thai clinch and unloads with a massive knee that drops Wunderkind to the canvas! Can Wunderkind beat the count? 3,4,5,6 and he's up... is he? Yes, he's up! The referee is taking a long look at him and he's going to allow it to continue! Oh Wunderkind is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wunderkind looks to clinch and Pintado counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Wunderkind out cold! What a finish! Pintado is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
