PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Link Hunington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunington comes to the cage accompanied by Doctor Who. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunington has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Morgan finds it's way round the side to connect with Hunington's head.


It looks like Link Hunington has been cut.
Morgan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hunington paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hunington fails with a takedown attempt.
Morgan lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Hunington closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Morgan to the mat! Morgan manages to get full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hunington postures up.

Morgan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hunington can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hunington slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Hunington tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hunington has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Hunington is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Morgan has escaped the position, nice work there.
You can see the frustration on Morgan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hunington tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Morgan is looking to reverse the position.
Morgan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hunington. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hunington is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Morgan is just riding it out for now. Hunington eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Hunington keeps control of Morgan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Morgan misses with the head strike.

Morgan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Morgan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hunington circles away.
Hunington keeps the fight on the outside.

Hunington is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Morgan can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Hunington swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Morgan is now in Hunington's guard. A big mistake from Hunington there, giving up the dominant position!

Hunington connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Morgan some visible discomfort.
