Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Ranieri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ranieri's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, DMX - Lord give me a Sign. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Ranieri! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Andrew Ellis! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ranieri scores with a three punch combo!
Ranieri's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Ranieri duly obliges. Ranieri looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Ranieri lands the left hand. Left hook, right uppercut from Ranieri. Ellis takes a kick to the side of the head. Ranieri throws a sloppy head kick and Ellis moves out of range easily. This has been an exciting period of action! Ellis fails with a takedown attempt. Ranieri lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ellis backs up against the cage.
Ranieri leaves Ellis with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ranieri scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
A left and a right from Ranieri both land. Nice combination. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Ellis takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Ellis shoots in but Ranieri avoids the takedown attempt easily. Joe Ranieri has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Ellis. Ellis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ranieri as he avoids it easily. No luck for Ellis with that takedown attempt. Ranieri clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ellis goes for a takedown attempt but Ranieri pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Ellis shoots in but no luck this time. Ranieri tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ellis manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Ranieri closes the distance and lands a one-two. Ellis shoots in but Ranieri avoids the takedown attempt easily. Ranieri connects with a high kick. Joe Ranieri is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ellis moves forwards but Ranieri connects with a nice, crisp jab. A head kick from Ranieri lands but Ellis takes it in his stride. Ellis takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
A right-left combo lands from Ranieri. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ranieri lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Ellis is rocked! Ranieri goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Ellis is still on wobbly legs! Can Ranieri finish him? Ranieri wants to clinch. Ranieri lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Ellis falls backwards - clearly groggy! Ranieri dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Ranieri! Joe Ranieri retains his middleweight title! A very excited looking Joe Ranieri rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
