PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Erik Hiller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timmy Te O (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hiller comes to the cage accompanied by Rush and Run - Shake and Jump. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Erik Hiller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Timmy Te O!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jonathan Paton and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hiller scores with a nice strike.
A jab from Hiller finds it's way through Te O's defenses.
Hiller throws a shot to the body.
Te O keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hiller stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hiller wants it to stay on the feet.
Hiller fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Te O manages to avoid it.
Te O tries to clinch there but Hiller circles away.
Hiller ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Te O on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Te O moves into the clinch successfully.
Hiller lands with a light punch inside.
Hiller with an attempt at a knee that misses.
A right hook to the body lands for Hiller.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hiller works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Nice body punch from Hiller.
Te O being controlled against the cage.
Te O goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hiller prevents it.

Hiller manages to break the clinch.
Hiller scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Te O doesn't seem bothered though.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Te O has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Te O has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Te O there as he acknowledges the shot.
Hiller just misses with a punch to the body.
Hiller throws a series of strikes that have Te O backpedaling.
Te O on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Te O tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hiller swivels and escapes.
Erik Hiller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Timmy Te O.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hiller lands with a hook. Te O tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Te O is rocked!
Hiller scores with a jab to the body.

Hiller lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Te O at a distance.
Te O's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hiller connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Te O scrambles back to his feet.
Te O is still on wobbly legs! Can Hiller finish him?
Te O tries to clinch but Hiller is having none of it.
Te O seems to have recovered his senses.
Hiller digs a good body shot into Te O's ribs.
Hiller thuds his right hand into Te O's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Te O tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hiller defends well and Te O ends up having to push Hiller into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Hiller is looking to wear down Te O with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Hiller moves into range and clinches up with Te O.
Hiller works on Te O's body with a couple of short punches.
Te O looks winded!

Hiller breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hiller lands with an uppercut that bounces Te O off the cage and back into range.

Te O closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Te O lands in his opponent's guard.

Hiller is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Te O rolls with it to try and escape but Hiller cranks on the arm and Te O is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
