Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kay Ector (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dorian Yates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ector's entrance music is Monster!. A fine choice. Kay Ector had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kay Ector! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dorian Yates! The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ector fails with an attempt to clinch.
Yates with the counter takedown but Ector avoids it easily. Yates tries to land a leg kick but Ector saw it coming and moves away.
Yates moves away from the strike by Ector. Yates tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Yates with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ector to score with a decent uppercut. Ector moves out of range of the body kick. Ector walks into a jab. Ector drops his hands momentarily and Yates takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Yates lands a leg kick that knocks Ector off balance momentarily. Ector tries to land a leg kick but Yates saw it coming and moves away.
Yates doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Ector swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Ector lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Yates circles away quickly and effectively. Yates ducks down and throws a hook to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ector will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A punch combination from Ector misses. Nice body kick there by Ector.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yates lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ector circles away quickly and effectively. Ector is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Yates. Ector wants to clinch. Ector moves in looking to clinch but Yates pushes him off. Kay Ector is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Yates dives in and scores a takedown into Ector's guard. Yates is standing up over Ector. Ector looks to escape but Yates dives into side control.
Yates is looking to take a break and control but Ector is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ector prevents Yates from improving position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ector is looking for a sweep. Yates is looking to take a break and control but Ector is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yates is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ector has escaped the position, nice work there. Yates tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Yates has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Yates wants to control but Ector is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ector is trying to control Yates's posture but Yates avoids it. Ector is looking to regain half guard here but Yates keeps moving and retains side control. Ector throws Yates to one side and escapes! Ector slips a straight right by Yates. Ector misses with a straight right.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ector connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Yates momentarily.
Yates scores with a leg kick.
Ector clinches. Our sources have told us that Ector has been working on his elbows in the gym. Yates jumps guard but Ector stands there with Yates around his waist. Yates gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Yates lands a right hand. Yates jumps guard and drags Ector to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Yates manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ector manages to get himself to full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Yates controlling from the top position. Yates wants to pass the guard but Ector is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Dorian Yates will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Ector misses with a combination
and Yates counters with a stiff right hand. Yates scores with a jab to the jaw. Ector takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Yates fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Ector lands a left and a right that send Yates crashing to the mat, dazed. Ector thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Dorian Yates has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Yates throws a lazy uppercut
and Ector holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Yates has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ector avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Yates decides to pull guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Yates holds on and takes a little breather. Yates keeping moving, preventing Ector from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yates wants to sweep here but Ector controlling him for the moment. Ector has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Yates managing to control the position. Our spies down at at Altaca gym inform us that Yates has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Ector won't allow Yates to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Yates trying to control the position here.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Yates looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Yates is rocked! Ector connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Yates covering up! Ector comes in with a big uppercut and Yates goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Kay Ector! An out of breath and clearly excited Kay Ector thanked GREEN!160 for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
