Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Bradman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reynolds comes to the cage accompanied by Ballad Of Serenity. Don Bradman acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Malcolm Reynolds!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Don Bradman!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bradman takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Bradman checks a leg kick.
Bradman only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Bradman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Reynolds drops down looking for a counter takedown but Bradman sprawls and moves away.
Bradman lands with a nice body punch.
Reynolds takes one to the chin there.
A left and a right from Bradman both land. Nice combination.


It looks like Malcolm Reynolds has been cut.
Reynolds lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Reynolds connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bradman's hands.
Bradman tried to score with a low kick but Reynolds checks it.
Bradman just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromReynolds.
Good standup being displayed there by Reynolds as he connects with a hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Reynolds looks for a takedown but Bradman sprawls well.

and Bradman counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Reynolds shoots in and drives through. Bradman sprawls well.

Bradman shapes to counter with a head kick.

and Bradman connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The crowd cheers as Reynolds lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bradman doesn't seem phased though.
Don Bradman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Reynolds swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bradman uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Reynolds.

Reynolds instigates a clinch.
Reynolds lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Bradman lands an uppercut.
Reynolds has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bradman is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Malcolm Reynolds. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bradman's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Reynolds has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bradman avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Reynolds steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bradman.

Reynolds catches Bradman with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Bradman throws a jab but it's blocked by Reynolds.

Reynolds connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Reynolds looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Bradman!
Reynolds in side control lands a decent elbow.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Reynolds postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Reynolds in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Reynolds connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Bradman some visible discomfort.
Reynolds working the head and body with strikes.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Bradman is looking for a sweep.
Reynolds is looking to take a break and control but Bradman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Malcolm Reynolds will probably get the nod.

Reynolds bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Reynolds has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Reynolds wants to control but Bradman is keeping him busy.
Bradman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reynolds. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Reynolds throws an elbow but Bradman slips to the side and avoids it well.
Reynolds wants to control but Bradman is keeping him busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A lull in the action here as Reynolds stalls from top position.

Reynolds tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Reynolds has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Reynolds fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The strikes coming from Reynolds are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Bradman parries the strikes from Reynolds easily there. Reynolds is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Bradman to escape.

Reynolds tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Reynolds wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bradman keeps working.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Reynolds bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bradman's head.
Bradman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Reynolds half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Reynolds blocks a leg kick.
Bradman throws a sloppy head kick and Reynolds moves out of range easily.
Bradman throws a leg kick but Reynolds sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Reynolds lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Reynolds throws a right hand that misses
and Bradman counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Good leg kick by Bradman there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Reynolds is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bradman can do to turn this around?
Reynolds tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Bradman looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Reynolds lands a big head kick that sends Bradman tumbling to the mat! Reynolds takes a step backwards and waves Bradman back to his feet - he wants the finish!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Reynolds finds Bradman's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Bradman flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Reynolds lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Bradman will be OK.
