The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Kossen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Van Kossen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sonnen.
A head kick by Van Kossen misses
and Sonnen counters with a takedown into side control.
Van Kossen is looking for a sweep.
Sonnen is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Van Kossen looks calm but he's in trouble here. Sonnen gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Van Kossen is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Sonnen lets go of the hold and Van Kossen can pop his arm back in it's socket.
