Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lou Ferrigno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Axel Torepalma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lou Ferrigno! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Axel Torepalma! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Bart Greer and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ferrigno fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Torepalma sprawls well initially but Ferrigno persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ferrigno connects with a nice short shot to Torepalma's temple. Ferrigno not landing any meaningful shots this time. Torepalma pushes Ferrigno off and gets back to his feet. Torepalma shoots in looking for a takedown but Ferrigno manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Torepalma's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Ferrigno changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Torepalma ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ferrigno moves away. Ferrigno dives in and scores a takedown into Torepalma's guard. Torepalma scrambles and gets back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Torepalma forces Ferrigno back against the cage and clinches. Ferrigno has clasped his hands together around Torepalma's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Torepalma tries to get back to half guard but can't. Ferrigno knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Torepalma on the ground. Torepalma is not content to let Ferrigno control the position. Ferrigno lands a few punches from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ferrigno misses with the ground and pound. Torepalma is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Torepalma is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Ferrigno asserts his dominance and retains side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ferrigno works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Ferrigno working away. Torepalma parries the strikes from Ferrigno easily there. Ferrigno is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Torepalma to escape.
Ferrigno trying to control the action but Torepalma is working from the bottom. Torepalma misses with an elbow from the bottom. Torepalma is working to avoid the ground and pound but Ferrigno connects with a decent elbow. Ferrigno wants to lay and pray for a moment but Torepalma keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ferrigno looks up at the clock and then as Torepalma takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ferrigno smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Torepalma wants to control but Ferrigno postures up. Ferrigno is looking to take a break and control but Torepalma is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ferrigno working the head with strikes. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Ferrigno working the body and head with strikes. Torepalma pushes Ferrigno away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ferrigno gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Torepalma sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Torepalma is staying active underneath Ferrigno, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ferrigno winds up and cracks Torepalma with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Ferrigno throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ferrigno looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Ferrigno thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Torepalma's head. Ferrigno lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Ferrigno takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Ferrigno is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Torepalma looks winded! Ferrigno is looking to take a break and control but Torepalma is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Torepalma wants to get back to his feet.
Ferrigno looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Torepalma works his way to full guard. Good work. Ferrigno postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Ferrigno is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ferrigno wants to pass the guard but Torepalma is keeping the position. Ferrigno trying to control but Torepalma is working from the bottom. Ferrigno working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Ferrigno wants to control from the top but Torepalma keeps moving. Torepalma trying to keep a closed guard but Ferrigno is proving a slippery customer.

Torepalma lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lou Ferrigno dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Torepalma rushes Ferrigno and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Ferrigno tries to score a body lock takedown but Torepalma shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Ferrigno has hold of one of Torepalma's legs. Torepalma is fighting the takedown attempt but Ferrigno gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Torepalma has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Ferrigno off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Axel Torepalma seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Torepalma scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Ferrigno shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Torepalma is trying to defend but Ferrigno finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Torepalma has one foot on Ferrigno's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Torepalma goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Lou Ferrigno has been cut. Torepalma has managed to clinch.

Torepalma avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Torepalma gets caught napping as Ferrigno dives in and scores a takedown. Torepalma manages to retain guard. Torepalma is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Ferrigno presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Ferrigno leaning his opponent against the cage. Ferrigno wants the takedown. Torepalma is fighting it off but Ferrigno persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Torepalma's guard against the cage. Torepalma pushes Ferrigno off and gets back to his feet.
Ferrigno shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Torepalma as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lou Ferrigno. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Torepalma throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Torepalma tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ferrigno darts in and clinches Torepalma up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Torepalma has a couple of punches blocked by Ferrigno.
Torepalma goes for a takedown attempt but Ferrigno pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Torepalma throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ferrigno clinches up with Torepalma and pushes him back against the cage. Ferrigno is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Torepalma can't fight it off and eventually Ferrigno manages to take the fight to the floor. Torepalma looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Torepalma uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Torepalma fails to land the takedown. Torepalma moves into the clinch. Ferrigno tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ferrigno has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Torepalma is trying to keep an underhook but Ferrigno manages to get the takedown into half guard. Torepalma makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Ferrigno decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Torepalma pushes Ferrigno off and gets back to his feet. Torepalma has closed the distance and engaged Ferrigno in a clinch.
Torepalma is trying to push Ferrigno away but Ferrigno has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Torepalma prevents the takedown attempt.
Ferrigno gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Torepalma pushes Ferrigno off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Torepalma shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ferrigno pinned against the cage. Ferrigno gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Torepalma. Ferrigno throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Torepalma was covering up waiting for the punch and Ferrigno finishes the takedown easily into guard. Ferrigno landing some decent shots from guard. Ferrigno looking to sit in guard and control but Torepalma gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ferrigno has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Torepalma has passed into side control.

Axel Torepalma showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Lou Ferrigno's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Torepalma dives in and grabs Ferrigno's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ferrigno pushes down on Torepalma's head and hops out. Torepalma throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Torepalma tries to sprawl but Ferrigno drives through with a takedown into half guard. Lou Ferrigno overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ferrigno is trying to control. Torepalma wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Torepalma trying to control but Ferrigno postures up.

Ferrigno seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Ferrigno wants to take a breather but Torepalma is having none of it. Ferrigno wants to pass the guard but Torepalma is keeping the position. Ferrigno scoring with punches to the head and body. Ferrigno distracts Torepalma with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Torepalma wants to sweep here but Ferrigno controlling him for the moment. Ferrigno throwing strikes but missing. Ferrigno wants to control from the top but Torepalma keeps moving. Torepalma looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ferrigno has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Ferrigno wants to pass the guard but Torepalma is keeping the position. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Ferrigno is looking to work some ground and pound but Torepalma has wrist control.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ferrigno closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Torepalma has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ferrigno is working away from the top position though. Torepalma gets back to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ferrigno stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Torepalma swivels though and keeps the full guard. Torepalma wants to sweep here but Ferrigno controlling him for the moment. Torepalma throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Torepalma is on top in guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Torepalma throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ferrigno shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Torepalma is trying to defend but Ferrigno finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Torepalma has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Ferrigno is on him like a limpet, forcing Torepalma back against the cage. Ferrigno tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Torepalma is trying to pull guard but Ferrigno turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Torepalma gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ferrigno.
Ferrigno is working for takedown but Torepalma is calmly controlling the position for now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lou Ferrigno. That's going to take a lot out of him. Torepalma jumps into guard, dragging Ferrigno to the mat.
Torepalma is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Torepalma gets to his feet - back to striking we go! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Torepalma shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ferrigno defends it nicely. Ferrigno feinted with a counter takedown.
And that's the end of the fight! Lou Ferrigno showed his dominance in that final round. I think Ferrigno has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
