Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Burt Guth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramirez comes to the cage accompanied by Night Prowler -by- AC/DC. The crowd seem to be enjoying Guth's choice of entrance music: Alva Noto - Module 7. Burt Guth will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
33 - 23 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ricardo Ramirez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
28 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Burt Guth! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramirez lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Ramirez feints a jab promting Guth to slip. Ramirez then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Guth slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. A nice combination there by Ramirez.
Ramirez buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ramirez loads up on a big right hand but Guth slips the punch. Ramirez looks to score with a jab to the body but Guth is just out of range. Ramirez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Guth manages to avoid it. Ramirez lands a nice hook to Guth's body. Guth takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Guth is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Ramirez misses the shot to the body. Ramirez misses with a straight left. A slow jab from Ramirez misses its intended target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramirez tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Guth is able to avoid easily. Guth drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Ramirez defends it well. An inside leg kick lands from Ramirez. Ramirez misses with a wild body shot. Ramirez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Guth was well out of range. Poor timing from Ramirez. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ramirez, right into the meat.
Ramirez misses the jab. Guth changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Good leg kick by Ramirez there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Guth checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Guth with the counter takedown but Ramirez avoids it easily. Ramirez scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Ramirez is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Good leg kick by Ramirez there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Ramirez fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Guth to the ground. Ramirez is now in Guth's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ramirez trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ramirez looking to pass the guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Guth manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ramirez manages to get himself to full guard.
Guth has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Rape Academy (7 elite, 6 2x elite). Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Guth with a flurry of punches that miss. Ramirez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Guth postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Ramirez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guth throwing strikes but missing. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Ramirez wants to sweep here but Guth controlling him for the moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Ramirez shoots in and gets a takedown into Guth's guard. Ramirez throwing strikes but missing. Ramirez trying to control but Guth is working from the bottom. Guth is trying to keep Ramirez in close.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ramirez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ramirez trying to control but Guth is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Guth working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ramirez. Ramirez makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Guth keeping full guard, as Ramirez tries to pass. Ramirez throws a big elbow that misses. Ramirez throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Guth works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ramirez scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Guth controls Ramirez momentarily but Ramirez frees himself. Ramirez wants to control from the top but Guth keeps moving. Ramirez is looking to work some ground and pound but Guth has wrist control. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ramirez misses with an uppercut. Guth is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Guth gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ramirez to score an easy takedown into full guard. Guth utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ramirez is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Guth can do to turn this around? Ramirez looking to sit in guard and control but Guth gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Guth postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Guth being controlled here momentarily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Guth won't allow Ramirez to sweep him here. Guth tries to free his leg and advance position but Ramirez is retaining full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ramirez scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Guth doesn't seem bothered though. Ramirez turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Ramirez is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Guth's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Ramirez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Guth.
Ramirez closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Guth's guard. Ramirez throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Guth works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ramirez trying to control but Guth is working from the bottom. Ramirez lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Guth drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ramirez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Guth has Ramirez in his guard. The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Guth has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Ramirez. Nice defenses there by Guth. Guth feints the counter takedown. Ramirez shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Ramirez misses with a body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ramirez misses the shot to the body. And Guth tries to counter it with a takedown but Ramirez pushes his down on his head and steps out. Ramirez throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Guth sees it coming and avoids it easily. Guth with the counter takedown but Ramirez avoids it easily. Ramirez thumps Guth with a low kick. Ramirez darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Guth keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Guth is controlling Ramirez's trapped leg to prevent Ramirez from advancing to side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Guth trying to control here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ramirez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Guth's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ramirez connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Guth scrambles back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Ricardo Ramirez showed his dominance in that final round. Well Ramirez has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
