Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Buddy Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Romeo Romeo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Buddy Clark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Romeo Romeo!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Romeo moves into the clinch successfully.
Clark throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Romeo jumps into guard, dragging Clark to the mat.
Clark in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Clark really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Romeo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Romeo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Romeo pulls Clark in close to his closed guard and prevents Clark from doing any damage or advancing position.
Romeo wants to get back to his feet but Clark is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Clark postures up.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Romeo tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Romeo gets a clinch.

Romeo has Clark pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Romeo pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Clark tumbling to the mat - Romeo dives into Clark's guard.
Clark is trying to keep Romeo in close.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Romeo won't allow Clark to sweep him here.

Clark keeping moving, preventing Romeo from controlling successfully.
Romeo passes Clark's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Clark wants to control but Romeo is keeping busy.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Romeo instigates a clinch.

Romeo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Romeo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Romeo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Clark is trying to get back to half guard.

Romeo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Romeo looks winded!
Clark is looking to reverse the position.
Clark taking punishment in the form of punches.
Romeo trying to control the action but Clark is working from the bottom.
Clark is looking for a sweep.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Clark is trying to control Romeo's posture but Romeo avoids it.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Clark tries to improve position but can't.
Romeo in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Clark gets caught napping as Romeo dives in and scores a takedown. Clark manages to retain guard.
Clark is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Romeo postures up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Clark pulls Romeo in close to prevent any damage.
Clark is trying to keep Romeo in close.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Romeo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Clark wants to get back to full guard.

Romeo closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Clark quickly recovers to half guard.
Clark pushes Romeo off but Romeo dives into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A lull in the action here as Romeo stalls from top position.
Clark is trying to get back to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Clark is looking to regain half guard here but Romeo keeps moving and retains side control.
Romeo controls the position.
Clark is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Romeo's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Clark tries to get to full guard but Romeo has control of the leg.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Romeo is taking a breather. Clark says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Clark is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Romeo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Romeo's back!
Clark keeps control of the position as Romeo tries to break free.

Clark is working hard for the rear naked choke here.

Clark is not going to allow Romeo to sit and survive in this position.
Clark will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Clark is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Romeo Romeo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Clark tries to close the distance and clinch up but Romeo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Clark - that will leave a mark!
Clark shoots in looking for a takedown but Romeo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Clark's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Clark moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Clark misses with a body kick.

Romeo rushes Clark and presses him up against the cage.
Clark is trying to break the clinch but Romeo has him pressed against the cage.
Clark wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Romeo gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Clark manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Romeo drives through and clinches with Clark against the cage.
Clark wants to break free but Romeo has control.

Clark wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Romeo has him pressed against the cage.

Romeo has hold of one of Clark's legs. Clark is fighting the takedown attempt but Romeo gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Clark wriggles free and stands up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Clark decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Romeo has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Clark is on him like a limpet, forcing Romeo back against the cage.
Clark is trying to break the clinch but Romeo is controlling him.
With the fighters up against the cage, Clark throws an elbow but misses.
Clark has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Clark working hard to break the clinch.
Clark wants to break the clinch but can't.
Romeo has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Clark is trying to push Romeo away but Romeo has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Romeo is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Clark can't fight it off and eventually Romeo manages to take the fight to the floor. Clark looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Clark pushes Romeo off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Clark bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Romeo throws a right and a left that both miss.
Romeo stuffs the takedown.

Clark moves into the clinch.
Clark has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Clark's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Romeo gets the takedown into side control.

Clark throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Romeo has Clark up against the cage in a clinch.
Romeo just leaning against Clark, taking a breather.
A frustrated look appears on Clark's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Clark escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Clark wants to clinch.

Romeo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Romeo passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Clark!
Clark is looking to get to half guard.
Romeo Romeo has got the better of the ground game so far.
Romeo wants to control the pace but Clark is squirming around nicely.
Clark regains half guard.
Romeo seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Clark is concentrating on defense, preventing Romeo from advancing position.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Buddy Clark.
I think Romeo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
