5 - 5 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Cadan Ness! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Winters throws the left hand but Ness avoids the punch easily. Winters misses with a double jab.

Ness misses with a wild combination.
Ness looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Ness takes the fight into the clinch. Winters struggles to land a body shot inside as Ness controls his hands.

Ness throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Winters sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ness comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Ness throws a leg kick but Winters sees it coming and checks it nicely. Ness misses with a body shot.

and Ness counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sloppy strikes from Ness. Those never looked like landing. It looked like Winters wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Winters throws a body shot but no joy. Ness darts in and clinches Winters up against the cage. Ness blocks a body shot from Winters. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cadan Ness dominated that round. The cut man is working on Richard Winters's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Ness takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ness clobbers Winters with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Ness tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Winters was well out of range. Poor timing from Ness. Winters throwing a counter right hand but Ness manages to avoid it. Ness loads up on a big right hand but Winters slips the punch. Winters avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ness connects with a jab. Good standup being displayed there by Ness as he connects with a hook.
