Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Frank Franklin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Felix Lora!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lora closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Franklin's guard.
Lora controlling from the top position.
Lora postures up and lands a big shot to Franklin's brow.
Lora won't allow Franklin to get back to his feet.
Franklin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lora is one step ahead there.
Franklin is looking to sweep but instead, Lora has passed into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Franklin is trying to stand.
Franklin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Franklin won't allow Lora to pass to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Franklin is trying to get back to full guard.
Lora is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Franklin definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Lora lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Franklin misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Lora controlling the pace.
Franklin is looking to escape.
Lora is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Lora content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Franklin trying to control but Lora postures up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Franklin misses with a takedown attempt
and Lora makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Lora has closed the distance and engaged Franklin in a clinch.

Lora ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lora no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Lora looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Lora's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Lora pushes a forearm under Franklin's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Franklin is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Felix Lora!
