Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Frank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Frank!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jay Pierre!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frank misses with a head kick.
Pierre swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
A swing and a miss from Pierre.
Frank throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like Jay Pierre has been cut.
Pierre misses with a leg kick.
Pierre closes the distance and clinches up with Frank, looking for a takedown. Pierre pushes Frank against the ropes but Frank circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Pierre misses with a looping left.
Frank is looking for a counter combo.
Frank will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Frank clinches with his opponent.
Frank unloads a knee to the mid-section. Pierre lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Frank breaks the clinch.
Frank slips under a jab.

Frank lands a big head kick that sends Pierre tumbling to the mat! Frank takes a step backwards and waves Pierre back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pierre looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Frank is fending him off so far but Pierre persists. Nope, Frank circles away and we're back to standing.

Frank gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Frank looking to throw knees to the head but Pierre is blocking nicely.
Pierre is working for takedown but Frank is calmly controlling the position for now.
Chris Frank has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Pierre.

Chris Frank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Frank.
Pierre goes for a takedown in the clinch but Frank prevents it.
Pierre tries for a takedown but Frank manages to get underhooks.

Frank lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Pierre wants a takedown but no success here.
Frank lands with a right to the head.
Frank slows down the pace here.
Pierre wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Pierre has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Frank avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Frank has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Pierre after a bit of a struggle.

Frank pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Frank lands with a nice combination. Pierre backs away looking to recover.
Pierre shoots for a double leg takedown but Frank sprawls well. He's pushed Pierre's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Frank is looking to clinch.
Pierre drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Frank defends it well.

Frank lands a big head kick that sends Pierre tumbling to the mat! Frank takes a step backwards and waves Pierre back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Pierre is rocked!
Frank misses with the combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
That kick from Frank tenderised Pierre's leg. Pierre is trying to keep his angry face on.
Frank closes the distance looking to clinch
and Pierre counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Frank throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Frank fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pierre, pushing him back against the ropes.

Frank pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Frank fails to land with a series of punches.
Pierre digs a good body shot into Frank's ribs.
Frank keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Frank thows a body kick. Pierre tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Frank lands a jab-cross combination.

Frank darts in and clinches Pierre up against the ropes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Frank is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Pierre tightens his grip and picks Frank up, before dumping him to the ground. Frank manages to land in guard.
Pierre prevents Frank from getting back to his feet.
Pierre cracks Frank with a solid left hand.
Pierre scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Frank is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Pierre tries to free his leg and advance position but Frank is retaining full guard.
Pierre throws a strike but Frank rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pierre is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Pierre looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Frank dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jay Pierre's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Pierre avoids the head kick by Frank.
Chris Frank is winning the standup battle so far.
Pierre looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Frank throws a nice looking combination but Pierre bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Frank is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pierre can do to turn this around?

Frank gets a clinch.
Frank lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Frank lands an elbow just above Pierre 's eye.

Frank's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pierre misses with a hook.
Frank plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Nice defenses there by Frank.
Frank throws a series of punches but Pierre avoids them all with ease.
Frank scores with a head kick.
Pierre is still on wobbly legs! Can Frank finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A big left from Pierre misses.
Frank moves out of range of the leg kick from Pierre.
Pierre seems to have recovered his senses.
Chris Frank is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Frank feints a jab and as Pierre dips his head, Frank unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Pierre right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Pierre falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the ropes! Frank smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Chris Frank!

During a confident post fight interview, Chris Frank thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
