Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Loic Gunines! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Khalid Abdul! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Gunines looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Abdul unloads a knee to the mid-section. Gunines lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. A short body shot lands from Abdul as the two fighters clinch.

Abdul putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Gunines in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Abdul is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Gunines can't fight it off and eventually Abdul manages to take the fight to the floor. Gunines looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Abdul trying to control the position from guard on top but Gunines is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Abdul wants to get up but he can't break Gunines's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Abdul stands and throws Gunines's legs to the side, diving into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A lull in the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Abdul works to advance to full mount. Gunines defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Gunines could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Abdul wants to stand but Gunines is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Abdul controlling the pace for now. Gunines knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Abdul on the ground. Abdul trying to control but Gunines is having none of it. Abdul has isolated one of Gunines's arms. Gunines looking to fight him off but Abdul twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
