Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Milky Mindoro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, David Hernandez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Milky Mindoro!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez moves out of range of the body kick.

Hernandez fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mindoro to the ground. Hernandez is now in Mindoro's guard.

Hernandez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Mindoro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hernandez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mindoro is looking to stand up but Hernandez isn't so interested in that idea.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Hernandez half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Mindoro feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hernandez's calf.
Mindoro misses with a kick to the body.
Hernandez attempts a counter takedown but Mindoro avoids it well and moves away.

Hernandez half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Hernandez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mindoro sprawls well. Mindoro wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hernandez gets slowly back to his feet.

Mindoro lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A kick lands to the mid section there for Mindoro.
Mindoro fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hernandez.
Mindoro is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mindoro throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Hernandez takes one to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mindoro is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Hernandez closes the distance and clinches up with Mindoro, looking for a takedown. Hernandez pushes Mindoro against the cage but Mindoro circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mindoro throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hernandez drops down looking for a counter takedown but Mindoro sprawls and moves away.
Mindoro connects with a nice looking jab.
Mindoro lands a nice looking body kick.
Mindoro lands a leg kick that knocks Hernandez off balance momentarily.
Mindoro throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Hernandez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Hernandez frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Mindoro tries to hold on but Hernandez postures up.

Mindoro is trying desperately to improve position.

Hernandez jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Mindoro manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Hernandez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mindoro knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Hernandez has hold of Mindoro's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Mindoro tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Hernandez cranks the arm and Mindoro screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Mindoro, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). David Hernandez!
