The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dyson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Dyson connects with a crisp jab. Wallace dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Dyson. That did some damage! Dyson throws a poor cross that misses

Wallace has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Wallace gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Dyson counters with a nice uppercut. Dyson throws out a leg kick but Wallace moves out of range and Dyson only half commits. Wallace tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dyson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Dyson lands a glancing blow to the side of Wallace's head. Wallace thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Dyson if he has to take too many more of those.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dyson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Dyson cracks a nice hook into Wallace's ribs. Wallace throws the kick towards the body but Dyson avoids it. Wallace scores with a leg kick.

It looked like Dyson was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Wallace. Dyson misses with a low kick. Dyson throws a shot from downtown. Wallace moves away and avoids it. Dyson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Wallace connects with a solid leg kick. Wallace fakes the leg kick and cracks Dyson in the body. Dyson will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Wallace is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Dyson's half guard. Dyson's legs have taken a beating and he's really slowing down as a result.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dyson controlling the position for now. Wallace is nestled in close to Dyson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
