Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Diddles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lars HoutKooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lars HoutKooper has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jacques Diddles's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jacques Diddles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lars HoutKooper! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! HoutKooper changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Diddles tries to avoid it but HoutKooper manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Diddles to the ground. Diddles escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Diddles moves into range and clinches up with HoutKooper. Diddles wants to stall.
Diddles ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Diddles no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Diddles preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. HoutKooper is looking to work some ground and pound but Diddles has wrist control. HoutKooper content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. HoutKooper throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. HoutKooper in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diddles is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst HoutKooper is controlling him. Diddles has his hands on HoutKooper's head, controlling the position. HoutKooper throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Diddles works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. HoutKooper trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. HoutKooper throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. HoutKooper lands a couple of decent looking shots. Diddles is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if HoutKooper can do anything to dispel that myth. HoutKooper looking for submissions off his back. HoutKooper actively working from the bottom here. HoutKooper looking for submissions off his back. HoutKooper is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Diddles pulls his head out easily. HoutKooper actively working from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diddles takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. HoutKooper is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Diddles pulls his head out easily. HoutKooper looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Diddles is keen to just control but HoutKooper is a slippery customer.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Diddles looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. HoutKooper looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Diddles moves nicely into side control. HoutKooper is trying to get back to half guard. Diddles in side control lands a decent elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. HoutKooper is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Diddles is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Diddles tries to control but HoutKooper wriggling away. HoutKooper is in a horrible position here. Diddles smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
HoutKooper keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Diddles is in the full mount, landing strikes. Diddles is landing with some decent strikes but HoutKooper is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. HoutKooper is trying to escape the mount.
Diddles cracks HoutKooper with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
That's four minutes gone in the round. HoutKooper tries to improve his position but instead Diddles has taken his back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. HoutKooper is keeping busy.
You can see the frustration on HoutKooper's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
HoutKooper tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Diddles has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! HoutKooper is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jacques Diddles!
