Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mick Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ulrik Vinni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shaw's entrance music is Silver Bullet - Bring Forth The Guillotine. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mick Shaw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ulrik Vinni! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vinni fails with a takedown attempt. Vinni instigates a clinch. Vinni is trying to pull guard but Shaw turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Shaw wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Vinni jumps guard but Shaw turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Mick Shaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ulrik Vinni. Shaw is leaning against Vinni and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Vinni has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Shaw uses from the top position. Shaw has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Shaw trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shaw stops Vinni from standing up. Vinni bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Shaw's guard. Vinni trying to control the position from guard on top but Shaw is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Shaw wants to sweep here but Vinni controlling him for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vinni loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Vinni's corner is telling him to maintain position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Vinni throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Shaw works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Ulrik Vinni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vinni moves out of range as Shaw strikes. Vinni gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Shaw pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Shaw throws a half hearted mid kick. Vinni looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Shaw is fending him off so far but Vinni persists. Nope, Shaw circles away and we're back to standing. The fight stays on the outside here - Vinni looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Nice sprawl there from Shaw as Vinni shoots in. Vinni closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Shaw quickly recovers to half guard. Vinni misses with a head shot. Shaw uses the momentum to regain guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vinni trying to control but Shaw is working from the bottom. Vinni showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Vinni slips nicely into half guard. Shaw wants to control but Vinni is keeping busy.
Shaw is not content to let Vinni control the position. Vinni is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shaw tries to kick Vinni off but Vinni keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Vinni seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Shaw does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Vinni is looking for a kimura but Shaw is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Vinni to get the leverage. Shaw is not content to let Vinni control the position. Vinni thows a huge punch but Shaw dodges it nicely.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Vinni works his way into side control. Vinni goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Shaw rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Vinni's guard! Nice work there by Shaw!
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The fight stays on the outside here - Vinni looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Vinni looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vinni wants to work for an arm triangle but Shaw is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Vinni is keen to just control but Shaw is a slippery customer. Shaw is defending against the submission attempts here by Vinni.
Shaw tries to roll over but Vinni keeps him under control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Vinni is taking a breather. Shaw says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ulrik Vinni dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Shaw connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Vinni momentarily.
Vinni darts in looking for a takedown but Shaw gets double underhooks and turns Vinni into the cage. Vinni takes one on the button. Vinni moves out of range of the leg kick from Shaw. Nice sprawl there from Shaw as Vinni shoots in. Vinni throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shaw's waist but Shaw gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vinni off to one side. Mick Shaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ulrik Vinni. Shaw bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Vinni's head.
Vinni is rocked! Vinni wants to clinch. Vinni is still on wobbly legs! Can Shaw finish him? Vinni shoots and misses and Shaw scores with a counter punch that sends Vinni to the canvas! Shaw smells blood - he's punishing Vinni with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Vinni has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mick Shaw! A relieved looking Mick Shaw thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
