Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Losco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gab Batista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gab Batista will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sam Losco! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gab Batista! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Russell Pearce and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Batista shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Losco sprawls well. Losco wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Batista gets slowly back to his feet. Batista misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Losco misses with a looping right. Losco takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Losco feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Batista's calf. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sloppy strikes from Batista. Batista takes a step backwards and waves Losco back to his feet - he wants the finish! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Batista takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. A slow jab from Batista misses its intended target. Losco connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

He's got his arms around Losco's waist but Losco gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Batista off to one side. Batista throws a looping overhand right but Losco ducks down to avoid it. A head kick misses from Batista. Losco avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Batista throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Losco fakes the leg kick and cracks Batista in the body. Losco is looking to clinch. Batista throws a body shot but no joy. Losco moves out of range of the strikes. Losco thumps Batista with a low kick. Losco has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Goon Training in the buildup to the fight. A head kick misses from Batista. Losco takes a jab right on the kisser.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Losco throws a lazy right hand but Batista sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Batista bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Batista takes a swing at Losco's ribcage but misses. Batista is pawing at Losco, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Losco's nose. Losco is badly hurt! Batista pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Losco tries desperately to hold on but Batista is relentless in his assault! As Losco receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Batista away and this one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gab Batista! An out of breath Gab Batista thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
