Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Bright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitri Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramos is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Simple Man. Dmitri Ramos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jamie Bright! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dmitri Ramos! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Luis Engracia and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bright lands a nice looking body shot.
Ramos shoots in looking for a takedown. Bright tries to sprawl out of it but Ramos keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bright manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bright feinted with a counter takedown. Ramos shoots in looking for a takedown but Bright manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ramos's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Ramos shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bright defends it nicely. An attempted straight right counter from Bright misses the target. Jamie Bright has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dmitri Ramos. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No luck for Ramos with that takedown attempt. Bright stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bright wants it to stay on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bright fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Ramos dives in and grabs Bright's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bright pushes down on Ramos's head and hops out. Bright appears to be looking for a big counter. Dmitri Ramos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bright fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ramos, pushing him back against the cage. A nice glancing elbow lands by Bright. Bright lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Bright has picked Ramos up - he's going for a ride! Bright dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Ramos wants to improve his position but Bright is controlling well.
Bright thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ramos's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ramos manages to get to full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bright won't allow Ramos to sweep him here. Ramos looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ramos wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bright is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Ramos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bright really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Ramos has his foot on Bright's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bright works his way back into a safe position though. Ramos has momentary wrist control but Bright slips an elbow through the middle. Bright preventing the sweep. Bright throws a sloppy strike and Ramos has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Bright is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Ramos!
