Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gus Sargent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and AJ Bradley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). AJ Bradley has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gus Sargent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, AJ Bradley!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sargent dives in for a single leg takedown but Bradley sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Bradley closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bradley lands in his opponent's guard.

Bradley thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Sargent wriggles free and stands up.
Sargent tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bradley defends well and Sargent ends up having to push Bradley into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Bradley shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Bradley looks winded!
Sargent tries to kick Bradley off but Bradley keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Sargent keeping control of the position.
Sargent is looking to escape.
Sargent gets back to full guard.
Bradley in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Bradley prevents Sargent from getting back to his feet.
Sargent tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bradley throws a big elbow that misses.
Sargent is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Sargent pushes Bradley off and scrambles back to his feet.
Sargent really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sargent gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Sargent has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Bradley is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Bradley has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Sargent regains guard immediately.
Sargent wants to sweep but no luck.

Sargent is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Bradley presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sargent manages to pull guard.

Sargent is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bradley is aware though and is defending well.

Sargent is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bradley stands and throws Sargent's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Sargent wants to get back to his feet.
Bradley has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Sargent bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Sargent fails with the takedown.
Bradley looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gus Sargent. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bradley throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sargent was covering up waiting for the punch and Bradley finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Sargent looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bradley tries to free his leg and advance position but Sargent is retaining full guard.
Bradley missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Bradley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sargent swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bradley distracts Sargent with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Sargent has his hands on Bradley's head, controlling the position.
Sargent is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Bradley thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Bradley throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sargent works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Sargent is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Bradley presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Sargent has Bradley pressed against the cage.

Bradley has Sargent pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Bradley pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sargent tumbling to the mat - Bradley dives into Sargent's guard.

Sargent uses the cage to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gus Sargent dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Bradley gets the takedown into side control.

Bradley working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Bradley prevents Sargent from escaping the position.
Bradley working the head and body with strikes.
Bradley working away.
Bradley throws an elbow but Sargent slips to the side and avoids it well.
Sargent is trying to buck Bradley off.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sargent explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Sargent fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sargent pushes Bradley up against the cage in a clinch.
Sargent tries to pull guard but Bradley won't allow it.

Sargent gets control of Bradley's arms and successfully pulls guard. Sargent will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Sargent will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sargent wants to stand but Bradley is controlling the position.
Bradley postures up and lands a big shot to Sargent's brow.
Bradley postures up in Sargent's guard and throws a big left but Sargent blocks it.

Bradley drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bradley jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Sargent is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bradley can do to turn this around?

Sargent wriggles free and stands up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Sargent.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gus Sargent. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sargent shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bradley sprawls well. Bradley wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sargent gets slowly back to his feet.
A little jabbing left from Bradley on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Sargent fails with a takedown attempt.
Bradley slaps away a takedown attempt from Sargent, before circling back to the center of the mat.
It seemed like Bradley was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Bradley throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sargent tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bradley is in Sargent's guard.

Sargent has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Bradley off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Gus Sargent is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Sargent scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Bradley keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Bradley has hold of Sargent's hands but Sargent slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Sargent tries to stand but can't do so whilst Bradley controls his leg.
Bradley is holding on to half guard well.
Sargent is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Sargent is working for a kimura but Bradley is defending it quite comfortably.
Sargent not landing any meaningful shots this time.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Sargent misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bradley shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sargent manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gus Sargent will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Bradley.
Sargent tries to escape but Bradley is in control.
Sargent is trying to control Bradley's posture but Bradley avoids it.
Bradley in side control lands a decent elbow.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bradley is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Sargent is trying to escape and Bradley transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Sargent is forced to tap! Nice work there by Bradley! Very nice indeed!
