Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Corak Hoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Sayers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sayers has chosen Find My Baby - Moby as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Corak Hoon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shane Sayers!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hoon.
Sayers swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Sayers lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Hoon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Sayers cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sayers lands a nice shot that snaps Hoon's head back.
Sayers stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sayers wants it to stay on the feet.
Hoon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sayers pinned against the cage. Sayers gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Corak Hoon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sayers has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Hoon doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Sayers might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Sayers lands with an uppercut that bounces Hoon off the cage and back into range.

Hoon takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Hoon counters with a shoot takedown. Sayers fights it but they end up in guard.
Sayers is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Hoon dives into side control.
Hoon has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Sayers is looking to regain half guard here but Hoon keeps moving and retains side control.

Hoon dives in and grabs Sayers's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sayers pushes down on Hoon's head and hops out.
Sayers looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hoon fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sayers avoids it really well and circles away.

Hoon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sayers defends it nicely.

Sayers lands a really nice looking cross but Hoon seems unphased.

Sayers cracks Hoon with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Hoon drops his hands momentarily and Sayers takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Corak Hoon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sayers works the jab nicely.

Sayers leaves Hoon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sayers thuds his right hand into Hoon's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Sayers stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sayers lands a nice shot that snaps Hoon's head back.
Sayers has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Hoon gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Corak Hoon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Hoon fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Shane Sayers seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Hoon shoots in looking for a takedown. Sayers tries to sprawl out of it but Hoon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sayers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Sayers gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Hoon throws a strike but Sayers rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Sayers must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Sayers not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Corak Hoon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Hoon trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

I've got Sayers winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
