Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Baron Suzaski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fernand Mondego! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suzaski swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Suzaski misses the shot to the body. Mondego throws out a loose jab but Suzaski uses good head movement to avoid it. Suzaski tries to clinch up. Mondego feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Suzaskis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Suzaski tries to close the distance and clinch but Mondego swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Suzaski takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Suzaski has taken the fight to the clinch.

Suzaski lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Suzaski scores with an uppercut up the middle. Mondego misses with a body punch.
Mondego lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Suzaski misses with a hook from the clinch. Suzaski lands a good knee to the midsection. Mondego won't want to take too many of those. Mondego throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Suzaski blocks it with crossed arms. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mondego wants the takedown. Suzaski is fighting it off but Mondego persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Suzaski's guard against the cage. Mondego must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Mondego forces his way into half guard. Suzaski moves into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suzaski working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mondego doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mondego manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Mondego connects with a couple of short punches. Mondego is sitting in close to Suzaski's body. Suzaski has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Mondego is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Mondego is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Suzaski.
