Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cu Chulainn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vassago Ballardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
23 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cu Chulainn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vassago Ballardo!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Francis DeMontford and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ballardo lands a nice shot that snaps Chulainn's head back.
Chulainn comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Ballardo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Chulainn.
Chulainn misses with a body shot
enabling Ballardo to counter with a crisp jab.
Chulainn is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Chulainn lands an overhand right.
Ballardo lands a nice looking body kick.
Ballardo throws a head kick but Chulainn moves out of range.
Ballardo throws a push kick but Chulainn slaps the foot to one side.
Ballardo misses with a series of wild punches.
Chulainn loads up on a big right hand but Ballardo slips the punch.
Ballardo thumps Chulainn with a low kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chulainn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ballardo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ballardo takes a jab right on the kisser.
Cu Chulainn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chulainn connects with a body shot that sends Ballardo's belly button to the back.
Ballardo drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
It looks like Vassago Ballardo has been cut.
The fighters circling - Chulainn throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Chulainn misses with a body shot.
Ballardo feints a counter leg kick.
Chulainn throws out a loose jab but Ballardo uses good head movement to avoid it.
A head kick misses from Ballardo.
Chulainn bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ballardo's head.
Chulainn throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ballardo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Chulainn is in Ballardo's guard.
Ballardo is trying to keep Chulainn in close.
Ballardo looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ballardo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Chulainn's guard.
Ballardo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Ballardo is pushing down on Chulainn's leg trying to pass to half guard. Chulainn is fighting to maintain full guard but Ballardo has managed to sneak the leg through.
Chulainn gets full guard.
Ballardo controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Chulainn throws a head kick but Ballardo moves out of range.
Ballardo is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Chulainn with a body shot.
Ballardo takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chulainn goes for a double leg but Ballardo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ballardo continues to drive forward.
Ballardo let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Ballardo lands a big head kick that sends Chulainn tumbling to the mat! Ballardo takes a step backwards and waves Chulainn back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Chulainn is rocked!
It looks like Cu Chulainn has been cut.
Ballardo cracks Chulainn with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Chulainn tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Ballardo pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Chulainn is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vassago Ballardo!
Vassago Ballardo seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
